Abstract
Presents a model for voltage control in subtransmission/distribution networks based on the sensitivities of node voltages with respect to the available control actions, such as load curtailment or load transfer. A novel model for radial network voltage control based on the power summation method is described. Network analysis and sensitivity evaluation are performed by algorithms that explore particular network characteristics to avoid costly matrix manipulations. A case study with a realistic Brazilian system is presented and discussed
