Abstract :
This paper proposes and discusses the modification and extension of the present radio frequency identification (RFID) system using it for vehicular communication system to route post-accident warning messages up to an effective NLOS distance in a cooperative manner. In a vehicular communication system, routing of warning messages in a co-operative manner increases vehicle safety and reduces mass crash, unexpected traffic jams after a crash and similar other incidents. It enables transmission of important data to the vehicles within an effective non-line-of-sight (NLOS) distance. We also show the simulated bit error rate (BER) results and co-operative routing distances for different vehicles in two scenarios. BER for both of the line-of-sight (LOS) and NLOS cases are calculated in the simulation.
