  • Abstract
We propose a novel linear transmit beamforming technique for multi-user MIMO broadcast channels (BC). We lower bound the product of all users´ received SINRs when MMSE receivers are employed by all users. The proposed closed-form solution for transmit beamforming maximizes the lower bound of the product SINRs in an autonomic way. Unlike the zero-forcing beamforming (ZFBF), which can completely cancel the interference but is not concerned with the signal strength, the autonomic beamforming (ABF) makes a balance between canceling the interference and maintaining the signal strength. Additionally, ABF loosens the constraint on the number of transmit antennas in ZFBF.
