Abstract :
We demonstrated two-WDM-channel 40-Gb/s transmissions over 667-km dispersion-shifted fiber using a Ti:LiNbO/sub 3/ integrated OTDM modulator, a Ti:LiNbO/sub 3/ polarization-independent demultiplexer, and a simple dispersion compensation using 1.3-/spl mu/m zero-dispersion single-mode fiber with optimizing the repeater output power and the wavelength allocation.
