Abstract :
The first realization of a 0 dB insertion loss module with 19 GHz bandwidth, based on integrated MQW InGaAsP electroabsorption modulators and optical amplifier (80 mA) is reported. The module is assembled using specific microlensed pigtails and high-accuracy YAG laser welding.
