Abstract :
An interaction between synapses on a neuron is discussed on the basis of enzymatic reactions that undergo intermolecular autophosphorylation and dephosphorylation. Results show a novel phenomenon which has been dubbed "synapse selection". Efficacy of only one synapse, which is the largest at an initial time, is selected and enhanced, and those of the others are returned to basal level with time in ascending order of their initial strengths.
