Abstract :
A vertical parking algorithm for a parking assist system is presented. Practical aspects of parking efficiency are emphasized. Goal point optimization and collision avoidance methods are adapted to improve arc based parking strategy. The algorithm is geometry proved and validated by simulation. It is going to be applied in Parking Assist System.
