Abstract :
We investigate the problem of minimizing total transmit power in an ad hoc network while maintaining quality of service for each link in the network. It is assumed that each node in the network uses M transmit and M receive antennas. We introduce two new algorithms based on minimizing the total interference function (TIF). A cooperative algorithm is also introduced as a benchmark for other algorithms. Simulations show that the new algorithms provide better performance than the greedy approach.
