Abstract
Future wireless system is the convergence of multiple techniques and standards, thus to provide ubiquitous access. REALISM (REconfigurable Adaption Layer for Integrated SysteM) is proposed to operate each independent network and form the universal platform based on the simple exchange of protocols and signaling. By developing REAL (REconfigurable Adaption Layer) embedded in protocol stack, REALISM offers an integrated communication platform to across heterogeneous access technologies and CR (Cognitive Radio) system. By investigation on the main function modules of the REALISM architecture, the implementation of the REALISM is discussed, including the RRM (Radio Resource Management) issue for primary or secondary users.
