  • Abstract
In this work, we propose a method of assembling carbon nanotubes (CNT) into a cluster by using dielectrophoresis. Multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), which have been acid-treated, are dispersed into ethanol solution at a concentration of approximate 500 μg/mL. Then, the MWCNT solution is transported between a micromachined bottom electrode and a top probe electrode. A MWCNT cluster is formed using dielectrophoresis assisted by the surface tension during the solution evaporation process. The repeated experiment shows that measured electrical resistance of the assembled MWCNTs cluster is about 40 ohm.
