Abstract :
The implementation working group of the Communications Research Laboratory UWB research and development consortium is developing experimental UWB devices. They fabricated MMICs using 0.18 μm CMOS technology, including either the RF part of the multiband OFDM method or the impulse radio method. The baseband parts were realized using custom BPSK hardware, or by combining an arbitrary waveform generator and software-synthesized OFDM waveform data. For application purposes, we demonstrate a digital video transmission system.
