Abstract
In this paper, we propose an algorithm that can be applied to ultra-wideband (UWB) pulse design. The mean square error (MSE) between the desired pulse and the frequency mask is minimized in an iterative way. The desired pulse can be chosen depending on the UWB multiple access technique and modulation scheme. We show that the proposed algorithm quickly converges to the minimum mean square error (MMSE) in most practical cases.
