Abstract :
This paper addresses the emerging area of crowdsourcing. Crowdsourcing is an online problem solving paradigm that is used to tap the intellect of the crowd. This combination of the human and computational intelligence has open doors to complex problem domains such as software project management. Crowdsourcing occurs in teams and among various teams. During the process various tasks such as knowledge sharing, problem solving, problem detection and innovative solutions become available on the crowdsourcing platform. This paradigm is very helpful when team members are working on the same problem as they are aware of the dynamics of the solution under development, even people with the similar experience, outside the team, can be helpful as processes related experience to the problem to be solved with advantage of peer vetting outside the systems. We studied various crowdsourcing systems workflows and propose design consideration for engineering such systems.
