Abstract :
The study on brushless doubly-fed generation system is a promising development in VSCF system. The generator, as the key part of wind power generation system, plays very important role. Based on the analysis of the structure and principle of the brushless doubly-fed generation system, the mathematical model under rotor reference frame (d-q axis) is derived, and the simulation model is established by the means of S-function of MATLAB software. Several typical generating characteristics are simulated. The investigation results show that the cascade generator may meet the requirements of VSCF wind power system. Thus, it lays a foundation for further practicability study of VSCF wind power system.
