            Abstract : 
A 156 Mbit/s burst-mode transceiver with a new bit synchronization technique is developed. Receiver dynamic range is 27.4 dB (-33.4 dBm/spl sim/-6 dBm) and receiver power penalty due to bit synchronization error is less than 0.5 dB.
