  • Abstract
    A novel optical add-drop multiplexer node architecture, with ultra fast self healing mechanism. In an unidirectional ring is presented. A system model to evaluate the effect of the crosstalk and EDFA noise accumulation on transmission performances is proposed. BER estimation in a closed ring architecture has been evaluated.
