Abstract
The paper presents investigations of the wave propagation through a homogeneous, uniaxial anisotropic chiral metamaterial, bounded with perfect magnetic conductor (PMC) medium, optical fiber. The dispersion relation for such a waveguide structure is deduced followed with the studies related to the energy flux through the guide considering different material compositions. Investigations reveal the propagation of negative energy flux density through uniaxial chiral metamaterial medium, which essentially confirms the existence of backward waves in such metamaterials.
