Abstract :
As Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Intelligence, Reconnaissance, and Surveillance (C4ISR) systems are used more widely in the Army, the training on it become more important. To provide a realistic Environment for training, we adopt the Simulation-based Training Support Environment (S-TSE) for promoting training with C4ISR systems. The development of Interoperability of S-TSE with C4ISR System is now beginning, due to the continued parallel evolution of the Models and Simulations (M&S) Architectures and the C4ISR Architectures, such as the High Level Architecture (HLA), the Common Database Environment (CDE) and the Common Software Operating Environment(CSOE). The C4ISR/S-TSE Interoperability Conceptual Reference Model is developed to identify all possible types of information that could be exchanged between C4ISR system and S-TSE. In order to fixing the "free text" problem and minimizing the translation, we develop the CDE&CSOE-based C4ISR/S-TSE Interface Standards, and provide a completely unambiguous interchangeable information representation, the C4ISRM&S Interoperability Language (CMIL), for C4ISR system and S-TSE.
