            Abstract : 
Compact crosstalk-reduced digital optical switches (DOS) with high fabrication tolerances are designed on InGaAsP-InP for polarisation independent operation over a large wavelength range. Devices include a single-electrode mode converter and tapered electrodes to achieve crosstalks below -30 dB.
