Abstract :
Fixed loop source transient electromagnetic (TEM) device has been paid increasingly attention for its high efficiency. However, there is one problem which hinders its use: the electromagnetic field near the transmit coil is non-uniform, and there is no explicit method to interpret the measurements of this area. This paper analyzed the field characters of fixed loop source TEM, simply introduced the generalized inversion method, and provided a non-uniform field data inversion method by using the log-polar. The interpretation method has been proved to be feasible by inverting the forward modeling data. With this work, it is possible to improve the efficiency of fixed loop source TEM.
