Abstract :
XML (extensible markup language) has become the standard of data representation and data exchange in the Internet. A highly efficient management on XML documents has become an urgent problem. In this paper, we introduce the development of a native XML database management system, called dasiaXSQSpsila (XML storage and query system), which provides the ability of the storage and query for XML documents in a native format. An integrated index structure and a storage management for the XML documents are provided and a loader for XML documents is also presented. Our researches show that the XSQS can efficiently manage the storage and query of XML document.
