Abstract
A notch array antenna with 2-port power divider is proposed as a horizontal polarized omnidirectional pattern antenna with simple feeding structure. The proposed antenna is composed of two excited notches and two unexcited notch elements on a ground-plane. The notched ground-plane and the feeding circuit composed of microstrip lines are printed on the both sides of a thin dielectric substrate. A mounting plate is placed under the radiating element. An omnidirectional pattern is produced when the unexcited notch works as a phase inverter for the current flowing along the perimeter of the ground-plane.
