Abstract
Nonlinear dynamic model of a gear transmission system is developed, in which time-varying gear meshing stiffness, errors, and gaps are considered. This model has included the meshing impact in the gear meshing. The meshing impact part is relevant with the gear errors, time-varying stiffness, and the gaps. The model is solved by numerical methods. The calculation results are represented by the time domain diagram, frequency domain diagram, phase plot, and Poincare map. By the results the basic characteristics of the system and the systematic parameters´ influences on the dynamic properties have been discussed. The fundamental rules of the system´s multi-harmonic dynamic response have been obtained based on the time domain diagram, frequency domain diagram, phase plot, and Poincare map. Therefore, estimation of the dynamic response can be realized in the period of the system design.
