Abstract :
The service life of the wire rope as the load carrying and towing equipment affects directly the cost and safety in the practice manufacture. Broken wires are the main factor affecting rope life. This paper, according to the monitoring mechanism of magnetic induction, is designed a solenoid-monitoring sensor detecting broken wire. MSP430 is to analyze and deal with the signal as CPU. RS232 is to implement the communication between microcomputer and single-chip computer. The experimental results show that this testing method is simple, the apparatus is easy operation and high sensibility.
