Abstract :
The method of wavelet thresholding for image denoising has been researched extensively due to its effectiveness and simplicity. In order to obtain better denoising, appropriate wavelet function must be chosen. Multi-wavelet is a theories of vector wavelet that developed just in recent years. It has many good characters for example: orthogonality-short support more vanishing moments, etc. This means that multi-wavelet can provide a newer means to analyze the signal. Method of image de-noising based on traditional wavelet, lifting wavelet and multi-wavelet was introduced. Results of the experiment indicate, the quality of denoised image based on multi-wavelet is best.
