Abstract
The use of mobile telephones influences apparatus in medical institutions, in trains, etc. Optical wireless communication is safe for electric equipment because it does not produce electromagnetic waves. If we examine the characteristics of optical wireless communication, it is important to analyze the diffuse link as well as the LOS link. Analysis of characteristics using Lambertian reflection surface in infrared wireless communication has been reported, but there are reflection surfaces which are exceptions to the Lambertian model, for example glass or stainless steel. In this paper, we propose the concept of optical wireless communication for these places, and we propose models of the reflection pattern for stainless steel or glass by numerical formula, and we examine the characteristics for the concept by numerical simulation due to this formula.
