            Abstract : 
As an important research aspect in skull-based identification, the location of skull features is influenced by several factors such as complex computations, precision, and automation, etc, an improved method is proposed. Firstly, features in skull are automatically localized using facial image template; then the manual adjustment is carried out; at last, the features are localized. Compared with traditional method, the algorithm is more accurate, efficient and practical. Experiments results demonstrate that the proposed method performs the optimal tradeoffs between precision, automation degree and speed, time cost.
