Abstract
Electrical vehicles are favorable alternatives for transport under special environmental conditions. For financial and availability reasons the vehicles are powered by lead-acid batteries as a standard. Low capacity and limited driving range are the consequence and require a range of estimation. This is to be realized on the basis of charging and energy consumption. That is influenced for instance by charging current and duration, temperature outside and at motor and at battery, battery voltage, losses in converter and machine, speed at driving, height difference, empty and payload of vehicle, possible recharging during standstill e.g. by included photovoltaic. Therefore, many signals are to be measured. A rugged measurement system running on traction battery is realized and prepared for a test on a Golf car vehicle with 4 kW power rating.
