Abstract :
A round-ended wide slot on the broad wall of a rectangular waveguide is analyzed by the method of moments using numerical eigenmode basis functions. For wide variety of parameters such as slot width, wall thickness and dielectric constant in the waveguide, the equal-area slot is a good approximation to the round-ended slot.
