Abstract :
Satellite images are used in many fields of research. Resolution is the major issue in these kinds of images. In Image processing the image with higher resolution gives better results. In this paper we are studying two wavelet and interpolation based image resolution enhancement techniques. These techniques are basically based on the discrete wavelet transform and stationary wavelet transform. The comparison of these two image resolution enhancement techniques is shown by using different satellite benchmark images and also quantitative results showing the superiority between these two image resolution enhancement techniques.
