Abstract :
A low cost wavelength calibration method for Fiber Bragg Grating sensor system is studied in this paper. An enhanced sensitivity FBG is used in the sensor system to calibrate the wavelength drift. Because the expensive temperature insensitive fiber Fabry-Perot interferometer and temperature control unit are not needed, the cost of system is reduced. The experimental results show that the wavelength drift can be compensated and the temperature measure errors can be reduced remarkably.
