Abstract :
In general, analogue design is seen as a black art and is due to the lack of standardisation of the analogue design process. However, if analogue design is reduced to a subset of solutions then this situation will change. This paper presents a totally new approach to the analogue design process, and it is advantageous to consider the structure proposed here as a form of computer analogous in many ways to the digital computer; that is in the nature of Alan Turing´s universal machine. It becomes necessary therefore to define an analogue instruction set which will allow an analogue design to be broken down into a subset of smaller instructions
