Abstract
In this study, a vector transform application on a coding algorithm based on the polarity of speech signal is presented. Vector transformation (VT) increases the intra vector correlation. Because of this property of VT, we expect the presented coding method will be improved. The coding algorithm compresses the signals around the positive and the negative peak values of the speech signal by removing reproducible portions of the signal while retaining reference signal portions that are enough to reproduce the original speech signal with a very small loss in quality. Before this coding algorithm, VT that is defined in Section 2 is applied on speech signals. Inverse VT is applied to decoded data. Obtained results are evaluated using graphics and SNR values.
