Abstract :
In this paper, the main methods of reactive power compensation and harmonic suppression and negative balance for electrified railway were analyzed and compared in detailed. And the problems existing power quality control are pointed out. According to the characteristics of electrified railway and aiming at these problems, Improved projects were put forward on controlling power quality of electrified railway. Meanwhile, three kinds of static VAR compensator (SVC) for electrified railway are studied minutely. Through analysis of mentioned SVC devices and according to their respective control effect, the project of thyristor switched capacitor with step-down transformer unites with fixed filter is feasible. Based on power quality control status of railway traction power supply system, development orientation of power quality synthesis control for railway traction supply system is advanced.
