Abstract :
Consider the characteristics of fluid-flow and heat-transfer high-speed permanent magnet machine, the 3D fluid model and heat conduction equation with axial ventilation duct are established. Meanwhile, the solution region and the corresponding boundary conditions under some assumptions are given. According to the theory of fluid mechanics, the temperature rise of stator for a high speed PM machine is calculated and analyzed by CFD software fluent. The stator temperature field is computed and the result is compared respectively with the result calculated by equivalent heat circuit method and tested value. The validity of the proposed method is confirmed.
