Abstract :
Aging low voltage motor control centers (MCCs) can become a problem for the owner, especially when the equipment becomes obsolete or the original manufacturer has gone out of business. This paper shows how one company in the USA, with the help of an electrical equipment manufacturer, developed a solution through a retrofit upgrade of an existing motor control center installation rather than a complete replacement and saved money in the process
