Abstract :
How to detect and locate the faulty states is the key to determine the effectiveness of fault diagnosis system. This paper defines three types of dependency relationship between one fault and another in the discrete event system (DES). And it defines a graphic representation method based on dependency relationship called the fault direct dependency relationship graph (FDDRG) and the fault dependency relationship graph (FDRG).Then it gives the definition of dependency relationship matrix of the fault Fm (FmDM) and detailed dependency relationship matrix of the fault Fm (FmDDM) to describe these dependency relationships among faults in a system. And detailed description is given. Based on these, we apply above methods to LM2500 marine gas turbine in the process of fault diagnosis. Then fault tree is described and relative results are presented to illustrate the validity of our approach.
