Abstract :
As a large scale integrator The Boeing Company is always looking for ways to incorporate open systems into new and existing products. Automatic test equipment (ATE) is no exception; our military customers are demanding the incorporation of open standards into many of the systems associated with ATE. This means integrating the many facets of ATE that range from instrumentation, switching, test station descriptions, test program definition, unit under test (UUT) data, UUT test requirements, all the way to built-in-test of the platform. Integrating all these items into a test system improves life cycle support, cost and maintenance of the UUT and the supporting test equipment.
