Abstract
In this paper we generate diagnostic decision trees for systems that are modeled by dynamic fault trees in order to perform reliability analysis. We base the proposed testing sequence within the diagnostic decision trees on diagnostic importance factors. We derive an approximate diagnostic importance factor measure for components from the Markov chain solution of the dynamic fault tree.
