Abstract :
Digital audio compression allows the efficient storage and transmission of audio data. The many forms of audio compression techniques offer a range of encoder and decoder complexity, compressed audio quality, and differing amounts of data compression. The article presents brief survey two algorithm groups of audio signal compression which can conditionally be divided into algorithms working in temporary area, and algorithms, working in frequency area. Audio data compression algorithm based on time-frequency presentation of signal is offered.
