Abstract :
Tolerance to SPM is evaluated in a dispersion-compensated transmission system using carrier-suppressed optical single side-band modulation. Waveform degradation is dominated by the power of a Hilbert-transformed signal. RZ format is preferred to NRZ for SSB.
