  • Abstract
    In this paper, a kind of automatic measuring robot for steam generator is designed. The robot is created to satisfy the increasing demand of unmanned operation in nuclear power plant. To overcome the limited work space, a novel kind of mechanical structure is proposed. To accommodate large amount of measuring points, control system based on FPGA and AVR is established. The experiments are arranged to verify the function of the robotic system. The results show that the automatic measuring robot is reliable and accurate. More than that, the system has been accepted by China National Nuclear Corporation (C.N.N.C.), which stands for the high application value of robot system and new interests growing in nuclear energy field.
