Abstract :
An injection locked oscillator with quadrature outputs is proposed. It can be used with single-ended or differential oscillators. The relationship between the quadrature phase error and coupling factor is theoretically analyzed. The divider has been fabricated with 0.25 μm CMOS technology. The measured operating range is from 4.3GHz to 5.3GHz with 13.5mW power consumption. Measurement also shows the divider has very low added phase noise.
