Abstract
The electric field integral equation (EFIE) technique is applied to a triangular-patch surface model of the conical equiangular spiral antenna. The input impedance and radiation characteristics of this antenna are investigated over a wide band of frequencies. The effects of some important geometrical parameters of the antenna, such as the half-cone angle, on the antenna performance are studied. Some of the obtained results especially those concerning the input impedance, polarization and bandwidth are compared with other published theoretical and experimental results.
