Abstract :
A method of real-time edge detection was implemented on the platform that consisted of the TMS320C6713 DSP, XC2S300E FPGA, an emulator with the program edited by the wavelet transform. The real-time image that come directly from the camera was shown in the left of the monitor and the real-time image that handled by the program of the wavelet transform was shown in the right of the monitor. This method was called real time comparing method of edge extraction based on the method of local maxima gradient vectors modulus of wavelet transform. The effect of the method was effective for real-time edge extraction of the objects in short distance.
