Abstract
A higher-order cyclic cumulants based modulation classifier is presented. This paper investigates the effect of the raised cosine pulse function with different roll-off factor on the performance of the modulation classifier. Simulation results show that the performance of the modulation classifier depend strongly on the roll-off factor. The classifier reaches to the higher performance at medium roll-off factor. For the medium roll-off factor, the classifier is more sensitive to the carrier frequency offset the larger the roll-off factor.
