Abstract
The coupled-mode approach is known as a powerful tool for analyzing SAW periodic structures such as reflectors and interdigital transducers. The relation among the terminal quantities at two acoustical ports and one electrical port of an interdigital transducers are derived from the coupled-mode equations, and a simple distributed-parameter equivalent circuit representing these relations is proposed. Several examples of applications of this equivalent circuit to SAW devices are also presented
