Abstract
In the DCT-based image block compression, both mosaic and blurring effect exist, while, in the DWT-based ones, such as the traditional DWT, the DWCS meaning the DWT based on compressed sensing and the adaptive wavelet-based greedy (AWG) algorithm, the mosaic effect may be deleted but either the blurring may still exist or the spent time may be very long. Utilizing orthogonal wavelet transform matrix, this paper presents a kind of image block compression method based on AWG algorithm, which has the real time in block compression and the high fidelity in AWG compression. The experimental results prove that the algorithm is effective.
