Abstract :
In the conventional magnetostatic backward volume wave (MSBVW) convolver, a pair of microstrip transducers to launch MSBVWs are set apart from each other on the surface of a rectangular YIG film and another single microstrip is placed at the center of them. This acts as a pickup transducer for convolution of oppositely propagating magnetostatic waves. In a new configuration, a multibar parallel transducer is used to pick up the convolution signal. The multibar transducer operates very efficiently even under the conditions where the conventional single strip transducer does not work. The experimental results are also given to show the fact mentioned above
