Abstract :
In this paper, a LE (logarithmic envelope) algorithm is proposed to estimate one of the most important channel parameters, maximum Doppler frequency. The algorithm uses LE autocorrelation of received pilot signals, which is strongly related with the maximum Doppler frequency in a fading environment. The computer simulation is utilized to evaluate the proposed algorithm, and the results show that the proposed algorithm is very simple and of good performance over wide Doppler frequency range
